Margin
Management Information System
The Margin Management Information System
(MMIS) is a web browser accessible, non-QA-controlled
data management system designed to capture important
data and references that are identified in accordance
with the nuclear design margin management program
procedures. The MMIS is used to store and manipulate
all data and references, provide assistance with data
entry, and monitor the progress of the work.
In addition to the various limits and margins described
in INPO AP-929, "Configuration Management Process
Description", the Margin Management Information System
accommodates margins for various parameters from a
plant’s technical specifications, such as technical
specification limits, settings, setpoints, and limiting
conditions. It also includes INPO definitions for
Margin Management terms to assist users in data entry.
Sample data is included to aid the user during initial
familiarization.
Because Margin Management information is an integral
part of overall plant configuration management, the
MMIS is designed to export MMIS data into future
Configuration Management Systes (CMS). When this
transfer is made, the appropriate level of Quality
Assurance can be applied to the data for final
verification and validation.
The MMIS is designed for multiple concurrent users, and
is made available will full support for technical and
MMIS related questions for 90 days at no additional
cost.
