CMIS
Background
The Configuration Management System (CMS) software
successfully demonstrated that software packages with
very different functions and purposes could be
successfully integrated through a common interface to
provide access to complex requirements and nuclear
plant design bases information simultaneously and
manage the relationships between them, an objective
never before fully accomplished in the nuclear
industry.
In addition, by incorporating a rigorous and well
thought out configuration management taxonomy, the
software demonstrated the capacity to accommodate the
full range of configuration management concerns
associated with nuclear power plants, including new
construction and retro-fit to existing plants.
In order to realize the true value of the complex CMS
users have requested additional instruction on the CMS
software.
